Mobile App

Calculator
This is an offline version of the calculator at the calculator page on this site. It uses Adobe AIR as the environment which you will need to download if you don’t already have it - it should download automatically anyway. The environment is about 20Mb in size but you only need download it once to work with any AIR application, the calculator itself is less than 200Kb or so in size.
AIR applications must be digitally signed in order to be distributed. This may be done via a trusted third party or self-signed. For a limited distribution application like this it is not worth the several hundred pounds the third party way involves. Thus when installing the calculator there will be a warning about the certificate not being trustworthy. It is up to you as to whether you decide to install the application or not. Also you should only install this software (AIR runtime or the calculator) if you are allowed to do so - some companies forbid even freeware programs to be installed.
When asked whether to save or open, choose “Open”
Schedule Estimator
If you have a personal or club website and wish to have your own copy of the schedule estimator then simply copy the code in the box below and paste in to the desired location on your page.
The widget (or gadget depending on your system) uses exactly the same code as that on this site so you will automatically benefit from any updates as I make them.
Memory Map File
If you have a copy of Memory Map along with the Lake District map files then this download draws the route for you. The data may also be downloaded from Memory Map into a number of GPS units.
Google Maps/Earth File
This is a set of KML data for use with Google Maps and/or Google Earth. It was provided by Nick Smith.

Clockwise
The detailed route notes as a PDF. Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don’t have it - most do - or Preview on the Mac.
Anticlockwise
The detailed route notes as a PDF when going in an anticlockwise direction. Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader if you don’t have it - most do - or Preview on the Mac.
